Les plans d’aménagement forestiers (PA) sont considérés comme les principaux outils de gestion durable de la ressource forestière. Pourtant un article publié début 2016 concluait que la déforestation serait, au Congo, plus élevée dans les concessions forestières avec PA que dans celles qui en sont dépourvu. Des résultats qui ont fait l’effet d’une bombe, mais pourraient n’être finalement qu’un pétard mouillé. Ils sont en effet contredits par un document de travail signé par 22 chercheurs internationaux. Les explications d’Alain Karsenty, économiste au Cirad, spécialiste des forêts tropicales et premier auteur dudit document.

Quelles sont les contraintes et responsabilités liées au partage de ces données ? Comment accompagner les chercheurs dans ce contexte ? Le comité d’éthique recommande notamment la mise en place d’une instance sur ce sujet consultable par les scientifiques de chaque organisme et définition d’une politique d’établissement dédiée.
