On 19 December 2013, a scientific seminar in Montpellier, organized at the instigation of researchers from INRA, CIRAD, the CNRS and IRSTEA, is due to be attended by almost 150 agro-ecological and ecological engineering experts. At a time when the global issues are becoming increasingly pressing, it is vital to de-compartmentalize research on agriculture and the environment.
