In recent years, cities have been reconnecting with agriculture, securing food supplies and making them more sustainable. While it is North American and European cities that are best known, those in Africa, Latin America and Asia are not far behind. A recent symposium highlighted the most striking examples, which illustrate the various approaches taken when making these transitions.
