A survey on the banks of the Tanpok and its tributaries, in French Guiana, served to identify four cocoa populations, two of them new. A genetic study placed them in the Guiana group, an original group of particular interest in the fight against pests. The genotypes collected have been added to the cocoa collection held by CIRAD in French Guiana.
