In the light of galloping malnutrition despite increased food production, all eyes are now turning to women. Until now, few people had much idea of the knowledge and strength women could bring to the fight against food insecurity. This is now changing. Debating and consultation forums are opening up to them. Women are making themselves heard and sharing their expertise. A look back at the session "Hidden hunger: produce more or empower more?" organized by CIRAD on 5 June, at this year's European Development Days.
