The 2012 Dujarric de La Rivière prize has been awarded to Emmanuel Guiderdoni, a plant improvement and genetics specialist. The prize is given every four years by the Académie des sciences, and recognizes his work on rice using in vitro culture. The awards ceremony was held at the Institut de France on 27 November.
