As of 5 March 2018, Elisabeth Claverie de Saint-Martin is CIRAD's new Director General in charge of Research and Strategy. Ms Claverie was formerly Deputy Head of Development at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and already knows CIRAD well, since she represented the Ministry on our Board of Trustees. In the light of the current changes at CIRAD, aimed at tailoring its scientific operations to the new political context and renewing its economic model, Ms Claverie will be responsible for steering deployment of CIRAD's new strategic vision.
